LEGACY OF AN ICE AGE
A major conference involving Natural & Cultural Themes
MUNGO LODGE SEPTEMBER 7-9 2006
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Participants are invited to register. The cost of registration will be $100.
Space at the Lodge and adjacent camp ground is limited to 50 participants. Therefore registration will not necessarily guarantee a place. Preference will be given to those who are presenting papers or who have had a close research or management association with the Willandra Lakes. In the unlikely event that some selection becomes necessary the Conference Committee will advise unsuccessful registrants and return their money.
POTENTIAL PARTICIPANTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO ACT QUICKLY AS PLACES ARE LIMITED.
Acccommodation at the Lodge will be on a twin share basis (except for a very limited number of singles). We are unable to accommodate more than 36 participants at the Lodge. Alternative acccommodation at Lake Mungo is scarce, but there is the possibility that the Shearer's Quarters will have been rebuilt in time to house the remaining participants. Failing this the other 14 will use the campground. Lodge acccommodation will have to be reserved for those participants who cannot organise camping gear (such as those travelling from overseas), or for other pressing reasons. All acccommodation will be allocated by the Conference Committee, and registrants will be advised ahead of time so that thet can make suitable arrangements.
On the bright side, all accommodation and food (not including alcohol) costs will be met by the conference from grant funds. The conference will also provide transport (for those without) for field trips within the Park, and for those who need to get from Mildura to Mungo (return). PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO ADVISE US OF THEIR TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS WHEN THEY REGISTER. All participants will be responsible for all other travel costs and expenses.
Please send your cheques (made out to La Trobe University) to:
