Dear Aqualist,

Just so the readers are better informed, the words "chevron" and "chevron ridges" were coined from a study in the Bahamas, where several-km scale "pointy" ridges with intertidal structures and bedding stretched across most of the eastern Bahama islands. As is clear from the title in the citation below, we argued that the ridges were not the result of tsunami, but from intense storms during the peak MIS 5e sea level.  The internal structures were far too complex to be explained by 2-5 tsunami impacts.
