I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Professor Patrick
DeDeckker with the Queensbirthday Honours. He was awarded Member (AM) in
the general divsion for service to science trough research and teaching
in the areas of Palaeoclimate studies, salination and climate change,
and through the initiation and support of international scientific
collaboration.

Other news:
I will be joining the team of Professor John Dodson at ANSTO in July, to
undertake reseacrh into Human Activity and Climate Variability. This
will also mean that I am looking for collaborators through the AINSE
Grants scheme (which are due late August/Early Spetember.
