Summer Research Scholarships at ANU –
Undergraduate and Honours Students . A Summer
Research Scholarship at The Australian National
University is an exceptional research
opportunity, providing insight into what studying
for an Honours or a graduate research degree is
all about. You will have the opportunity to work
with leading scholars in your area of interest. A
Summer Research Scholarship includes: Full board
at <http://burgmann.anu.edu.au/>Burgmann College;
A weekly allowance (tax-free); Return travel to
Canberra; and An opportunity to undertake a short
research project on an approved topic. Duration:
8 to 11 weeks from mid November to early
February. Applications open: 1 July -

Applications close: 31 August. Students who wish
to be considered for a Summer Research
Scholarship should submit their application
online between 1 July and 31 August, along with
references from two academic referees.
Applications are not considered complete, and
cannot be assessed, without the referees'
reports. Referees are requested to simply send a
letter (or email) of support for the student’s
application to the program. These are to be sent
directly to the relevant contact officer, stating
clearly that the reference is in connection with
a Summer Research Scholarship application, and
which thematic/administrative area the student is
applying to. Students can nominate up to three
study areas in their application; they must,
however, rank in numerical order their preference
for each area. Supporting documentation
(transcripts and references) must be included
with the application (photocopies of original transcripts will be accepted).
