Hello all - this meeting in early June will bring together a really interesting bunch of practitioners who are focussing on managing dryland salinity in urban and peri-urban areas. A lot of the work has its roots in Quaternary studies elsewhere in NSW and Australia. We hope you can come along.

The 2010 UrbanSalt Conference "Dealing with Salinity in Urban Environments" will take place at The Sebel Parramatta, NSW on the 8th and 9th June, 2010. This conference follows on from the extremely successful previous UrbanSalt Conferences held in 2005 and 2007.
The conference will provide an opportunity to learn from the experts in urban salinity from around Australia. The conference will be attended by key decision makers from local government, state and federal government agencies, representatives of catchment management authorities, environmental scientists, geotechnical officers, landscape architects, builders and developers, engineers, damp proofing contractors and building repairers.
