Dear Members,

We would like provide an update on the recent ARC LIEF funded Cox
Instruments ITRAX scanner. The scanner will be located at the new
Environmental Radioactivity Measurement Centre of the Institute for
Environmental Research, ANSTO. Both the building and installation should
be finished by the end of this year. The new facility will have space
for core storage and handling and additional services such as grainsize
analysis by laser, light microscope facility, dating of recent sediments
and some office space for visitors.

Access to the scanner will be through the normal AINSE grant system and
commercial rates will be set at the end of the year. For those
interested in the latest cutting edge research that is being produced
globally using the ITRAX system please refer to the following program
and abstracts from a meeting being held in Italy in April. See
