$87,018 to $122,170 pa inclusive of superannuation (17%)

The Discipline of Environmental Science within the Faculty of Applied Science conducts research and provides education in interdisciplinary environmental science and management with special emphasis in sustainability and climate change, land and water management, vegetation and wildlife management, environmental chemistry, earth system science and conservation biology.
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative person to conduct research in one or more of fluvial geomorphology, groundwater processes, hydrogeology, water science or a related aspect of catchment systems, to contribute to the undergraduate teaching program and to supervise postgraduate students. The successful applicant will have a doctorate and professional experience; demonstrated capacity or potential to design and deliver innovative subjects in catchment systems, water science and management;  and a solid track record in generating income and publications commensurate with the stage in their career. He or she should also be a high quality science communicator with an interest in engendering these skills in our graduates through undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Early career researchers are encouraged to apply.
The position will be offered as a contingent continuing position under conditions specified in the enterprise agreement of the University of Canberra.
