Before things start winding up for the Christmas/New Year break please consider registering and submitting an abstract to the AQUA Biennial Conference. The meeting will be held at beautiful Lake Tekapo in the heart of the Southern Alps in South Island of New Zealand 13-17 February 2012. The conference features

* a pre-conference field trip from Christchurch to Lake Tekapo looking at loess and Quaternary landscape of Canterbury,

* three days of sessions on the latest and greatest Quaternary science from Australasia and the rest of the planet

* a fascinating mid-conference field trip (A few Long Cold Ones) looking at late Pleistocene and Holocene glaciers of the region, and

* lots of great tourism options from sightseeing to mountain climbing.

Abstracts close 16 January and the last day of registration is 1 February. The meeting is very reasonably priced and it will be a great place to be in summer.

Details and all necessary forms can be found at http://www.aqua.org.au/AQUA/frames_bgm.html.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
