AUS-INTIMATE Workshop  Second Notice
March 17-18, 2011
GNS Science, Avalon, Lower Hutt

A workshop of the AUS-INTIMATE group will be held on 17-18 March at GNS Science's Avalon Location near Wellington, NZ.

This meeting will conclude the 2008-2011 inter-INQUA activity of the AUS-INTIMATE group and will be the seventh and final meeting before the Bern INQUA Congress.

Please reply to peter.almond at lincoln.ac.nz<mailto:peter.almond at lincoln.ac.nz> with your intention to attend - there is no other formal registration process.  Respondents will be advised of travel options from Wellington city to GNS Science (Avalon). Victoria University of Wellington has kindly offered to put on minibuses from Wellington City in on the mornings of March 17 and 18, returning each day at the end of the meeting.  Those wishing to make use of this service should contact Rewi Newnham (rewi.newnham at vuw.ac.nz<mailto:rewi.newnham at vuw.ac.nz>).  A small fee of $NZ 25 will be requested during the registration period at the beginning of the meeting to cover morning/afternoon tea costs.

The Airport Flyer http://www.wellington-airport.co.nz/html/parkingtransport/airport-flyer-bus.php leaves every 15 min from Wellington Airport. A fare to Avalon will cost $7.50 one-way. The closest bus stop to the venue is at the roundabout on the junction of Fairway drive and Daysh street .
Taxis are also available from taxi stands on the ground floor at Wellington airport. Approximate cost to Avalon is $NZ60-70 .
