Dear all,

AQUA will shortly begin sending out membership renewal notices for 2011.

You may notice a few changes this year. Firstly, for all members for whom
we hold an email address, we'll be sending the renewal notices out
electronically. Other members will continue to receive a hard copy.
Nonetheless, you are all welcome to return the form by whichever means is
most convenient: email, mail or fax. The relevant details will be on the
renewal notice.

Secondly, there has been a modest increase in the membership fee. The
annual subscription is now $50 for ordinary members and $35 for students
and concessional persons. This is the first increase in membership fees
since 2004, and reflects increases in the costs of running the association
over this period.

Next year, AQUA will be moving to a fully online membership system. This
will enable you to join, renew your membership and update your contact
details online. We will send out information about the new system later in
the year. However, please ensure that you provide us with a current email
address when you complete your 2011 membership renewal.

If you are not already a member of AQUA, then please consider supporting
Quaternary research by joining. The benefits of membership include:

* Two issues per year of Quaternary Australasia

* Eligibility for generous student travel prizes and conference awards

* The opportunity to promote Quaternary science and education through
Science meets Parliament and other public forums.

To become a member of AQUA, you can download an application form from:

Thank you for your support!

AQUA Treasurer
