Dear Quaternary Researchers
The Australian government has announced a new Australia-China Science and Research Fund that will operate from 2011-2012 for a period of three years with a commitment of $9 million form each side. The Dept of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR) is asking for input about current and future collaborations with China.
In order to help to identify priority areas and mechanism for future collaboration If you have any active research collaborations/projects currently involving Chinese researchers or research based in China can you please provide me a few sentences indication so.

DIISR would also like to know:

 * Where Australian researchers see emerging opportunities to collaborate with China?

 * What are the likely barriers to future collaboration?

 * What can DIISR do to help Australian scientists/technologists build research collaboration with China?

Unfortunately we have a very short turn-around on this request so if you could please send any replies to me by THIS Wednesday Morning.
Thank you
Dr Craig Sloss (c.sloss at qut.edu.au<mailto:c.sloss at qut.edu.au>)
On behalf of the Australian Academy of Science: National Committee for Quaternary Research
