*Postdoctoral Research Associate in Fire-Vegetation-Climate Modeling*

A two-year position is available at Montana State University to work 
with an international team studying fire, vegetation, people, and 
climate in the western U.S., Tasmania, and New Zealand.The successful 
candidate will help lead synthesis efforts that use modeling and 
iterative data-model comparisons toexplore the interactions of 
vegetation, climate, and disturbance at different spatial and temporal 
scales.Responsibilities include (1) evaluating the FireBGCv2 model for 
study regions in Tasmania, (2) consulting on modeling and data 
development in all regions; (3) interactingwith partner researchers; (4) 
communicating research orally and through peer-reviewed publications; 
and (5) assisting with project management and synthesis efforts.The 
candidate will spend significant time at the USDA Forest Service Rocky 
Mt. Research Station in Missoula MT and otherinstitutions.Screening of
