[Aqualist] map of arid zone expansion

Hi

I have been looking for a map which shows the historical expansion of the
arid zone (at least in eastern Australia) which I remember seeing in papers
and/or books, probably dating from the 1970s.  However I can't find it in
any of the obvious places and was hoping that someone might (a) know what
I'm talking about and (b) tell me where I can find it.
