AQUA Biennial Meeting Lake Tekapo 13-16 February 2012

By request from would-be late registrants we have extended the deadline for the final time to January 20, 2012. Abstract and conference registration forms are available from http://www.aqua.org.au/AQUA/frames_conf.html.

Students, remember there are travel grants available, which will be judged on the quality and fit of abstracts to the conference, and there will generous student prizes for first, second and third in the Best Student Presentation Award. Details will be provided soon in a second circular on the web page http://www.aqua.org.au/AQUA/frames_conf.html

The conference programme will be published soon after all abstracts are in after 20 January but the variety and quality will satisfy all. We will be taking advantage of a nearby meeting of the Snow and Ice Research Group and joining them for the morning of Wednesday 15 February. To accommodate this the mid-conference field trip originally scheduled for that day is now on Tuesday 14 February.

A fun evening of eating, drinking, handing out awards, and after dinner entertainment involving an interactive "personalities of AQUA" history/ Quaternary trivia are planned for the conference dinner on Thursday evening.

All this in the beautiful environs of Lake Tekapo, in summer, in the stunning Southern Alps.
