Dear all,

Those of you working in Ramsar wetlands may be interested in the following:

The University of Ballarat will be hosting a meeting in Queenscliff from 5-8th November, 2013 which will use long term records of wetland condition (monitoring, historical records, palaeoecology) to inform assessments of 'natural ecological character' and 'limits of acceptable change' under Ramsar. This is under the auspices of both Ramsar, and IGBP PAGES (Past Global Changes), and is an activity within the University's Collaborative Research Network.
