Dear all,
Anyone attending the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society meeting in Brisbane
next week might be interested in a SHAPE lunchtime meeting, which will be
held on Monday 24 June.
SHAPE (Southern Hemisphere Assessment of PalaeoEnvironments) is a new
INQUA PALCOMM project which seeks to build on the work of Australasian
INTIMATE and unite the Southern Hemisphere palaeoclimate community in the
study of the past 60 ka. Everyone is encouraged to participate, and the
lunchtime meeting will allow you to learn more about our proposed
activities.
We will meet immediately after session IG17 (Late Quaternary Evolution of
the Tropical Monsoon Systems in Asia and Australasia and Linkages to High
Latitude Climate Change) on Monday morning. There will be some brief
presentations, after which we will head to a suitable venue for lunch and
further discussions.
When: 12.30pm, Monday 24 June 2013
Where: Room M2, Mezzanine Level, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
We look forward to seeing you there!
Steven Phipps, Jessica Reeves, Lynda Petherick and Michael-Shawn Fletcher
