Hello AQUA members.
Earlybird registration and abstract submission closes TOMORROW for the AQUA conference in Mildura from the 30th June - 3rd July!
If you haven't put in an abstract yet, there's still time! You can find out all about the session we have planned on the AQUA website http://aqua.org.au/?page_id=357. Sessions include topics relating to archaeology, planning and management, the cryosphere, dust and dunes, lakes and rivers, as well as some more general paleoclimate sessions. We now also have an "open session" included in the program, for research that doesn't fit into any of the other categories.
We have also got a number of brilliant field trips planned both before, during and after the conference, led by an all-star cast of experts. All the information on these are available on the AQUA website http://aqua.org.au/?page_id=364. We will be opening registration for these field trips in the next week or so - an email will go around once you can start registering.
Registration for the conference is open, and you have until tomorrow (17th April) to secure your earlybird discounted rate. All the information on how to register is on the AQUA website http://aqua.org.au/?page_id=355. If you have registered but not yet paid, please organise your payment asap. The payment process is outlined on the AQUA website http://aqua.org.au/?page_id=355. You will need to download and fill out the form on the website, before emailing it to finance.cashier at federation.edu.au<http://aqua.org.au/finance.cashier@federation.edu.au>. Once the payment has been processed, you will be issued with a receipt.
We are also organising a number of buses to leave from Sydney/Wollongong, Canberra and Melbourne to Mildura for the conference for those interested. These buses will stop off at sites along the way, and provide a low-cost alternative to regional flights into Mildura. If you're interested in securing a seat on one of these buses, please email Jessica Reeves (j.reeves at federation.edu.au<mailto:j.reeves at federation.edu.au>) to register your interest. Bus costs and dates will be organised once we have an idea of numbers.
Please forward this email on to any other people you think may be interested in attending.
We look forward to seeing you all in Mildura soon!
Regards,The conference organising committee.
