Macquarie University invites applications for the leadership role *Head of
Department* for the Department of Environmental Sciences in the Faculty of
Science.  In this continuing position as a Professor of Environmental
Sciences, the successful candidate will lead the department as Head of
Department for the first five years of the appointment.

The Department has research strengths in Quaternary Science, Geomorphology,
Environmental Quality, Climate Science and Environmental Management.
 Macquarie University received the highest possible ranking (5) in
Environmental Science and Physical Geography and Environmental Geoscience
in the 2012 ERA rankings.
