Hi Kat and Pia
We have two symposia focussed on tephra and cryptotephra studies and their
application:
S04 "Studies on tephras and cryptotephras and their use as isochrons in
palaeoenvironmental and palaeoclimatic reconstructions" (in short
"Connecting with past environments using tephrochronology"). Led by David
Lowe (Waikato Uni d.lowe at waikao.ac.nz) and Victoria Smith (Oxford Uni
victoria.smith at rlaha.ox.ac.uk)
S05 "Tephras and cryptotephras and their use in studies of natural hazards
and archaeology" (in short "Connecting with natural hazards and archaeology
using tephrochronolgy"). Led by Takehiko Suzuki (Tokyo Metropolitan Uni
suzukit at tmu.ac.jp) and Christine Lane (Manchester Uni
Christine.lane at rlaha.ox.ac.uk)
Both oral and poster papers will be accepted. Oral papers will be grouped
into 7-paper sessions (15 mins each, comprising 12 min + 3 min discussion,
110 mins in total). We currently have space for up to two invited oral
presentations in each of our symposia and so the convenors are keen to hear
about any stars who might fit the bill to kick off each of our sessions in
style!
Hope that helps!
Kindest regards
David
