Dear Colleagues,
The XIX INQUA Congress will be held on 27 July-2 August 2015 in Nagoya,
Japan. During the Congress, we will hold a session on the theme of "Eolian
deposition and Earth surface systems"
Eolian dust is a product of the complex interactions of Earth surface
systems and is preserved in various geologic archives, including loess on
land and sediments in oceans, lakes, and ice sheets. The processes that
control dust production, transportation, deposition and its
post-depositional alteration are closely related to regional tectonic and
glacial activity, hydrologic and atmospheric circulation, and climate
conditions. In order to improve our understanding of the dynamics of Earth
surface systems, we invite contributions on all aspects of eolian dust
deposition in the geologic past, including (1) determination of dust
sources, (2) dust formation, transport, and deposition processes, (3)
palaeoclimate records, and (4) related modeling studies.
(for details visit http://convention.jtbcom.co.jp/inqua2015/session/s06.html
).
We are now calling for submissions of abstracts for the session. Please
note the deadline for abstract submission is on 20 December, 2014 (For
submission details:

Best wishes
