Apologies for cross-postings.
*5th Polar Marine Diatom Workshop - first notice!*
Following the great success of the first four Polar Marine Diatom Workshops
in Yamagata, Nebraska, Sydney and the most recent in Cardiff, the 5th Polar
Marine Diatom Workshop will be held at *University of Salamanca, Spain,
from 19th – 24th July 2015.*
Place these dates in your calendar, think about your travel plans, tell
your friends and colleagues!! The Polar Marine Diatom Workshops are very
interactive with speakers bringing microscope slides for participants to
examine and are excellent for the training and development of postgraduates
and established researchers, alike.
If you are interested in participating in or in offering a microscope
session based on your favourite polar diatoms, please fill in the
registration form located on the polar marine diatom website
<http://polarmarinediatomworkshop.org/2015Salamanca.html> and send it to
me, M. Angeles Bárcena (mbarcena at usal.es
<http://mailman.anu.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/aqualist>).
Due to the logistical requirements of holding microscopy sessions at the
workshop, *the number of participants is limited to 40*. Early registration
is therefore important to secure your place.
More information about registration and accommodation can be found at
http://polarmarinediatomworkshop.org/
The workshop organiser and committee look forward to seeing you in
Salamanca.
M. Angeles Bárcena
