> Please see below information about a new scholarship on offer for 2016. Faculty has agreed to support the scholarship in the short term and Advancement staff will be fundraising to secure funds in the longer term.  There’s no official closing date for this one – we will keep advertising until such time as we find a good candidate. Could you please help circulate this information to academic coordinators and heads of school etc. and let any interested and eligible students know.

> Indigenous PhD Scholarship in Science
> A scholarship is available for an Indigenous Australian student entering a PhD in the Faculty of Science in 2016. A stipend payment at the annual value of an APA is initially offered for three years but with further extensions available, based on progress, for up to four years candidature. The scholarship provides access to a further $6,000 to support fieldwork, conference or collaborative travel during candidature. The successful candidate must satisfy the entry requirements for a PhD as set out in the University Handbook and maintain PhD candidature requirements to remain eligible.
