Announcement about changes in access arrangements to ANSTO Facilities and Capabilities
ANSTO and AINSE<http://www.ainse.edu.au> are pleased to announce changes to the arrangements for access to ANSTO’s facilities and capabilities. From 15 February 2016, new proposals for access to facilities and capabilities at ANSTO (with the exclusion of the neutron-beam facilities at OPAL and the National Deuteration Facility) should now be submitted through a new interim research portal for ANSTO (http://portal.ansto.gov.au), rather than through AINSE. The intent is to harmonise arrangements and processes across ANSTO to better support our user community.
The deadline for proposals is 15 March 2016.
A new ANSTO User Office will undertake all travel and accommodation arrangements for projects awarded from 1 July 2016.
[Interim research portal]

Access to the Neutron Scattering Facilities at OPAL, and the National Deuteration Facility, will continue to be via http://neutron.ansto.gov.au with the same deadline of 15th March 2016.
AINSE will continue to support nuclear science and engineering via its programs such as the AINSE Winter School, Honours Awards and Postgraduate Research Awards. For more information about these programs and applications please visit http://www.ainse.edu.au.
ANSTO and AINSE are committed to a smooth transition in arrangements - please bear with us, as these changes take effect. Please contact Joseph Bevitt for any further enquiries or questions via email at Bragg-user-office at ansto.gov.au. or by phone on 02 9717 7232. Further changes and improvements will be made for the following proposal round later in 2016.
