Hello All,
This is a call for an informal Environmental Reconstruction workshop run by the University of Melbourne (me) and Federation University (Peter Gell) on March 23, 2017.
The workshop is designed to bring together people who will be around Melbourne on March 23 who are working in the field of environmental reconstruction - students and academics alike - so that we can understand the breadth of topics people are working on in the field of Environmental Reconstruction and so that we can bring the collective mindset to bear on any problems we are working through.
The aim is to have as many people as possible give a 5-10 minute informal presentation about what they are working on or something that they would like to canvass the broader community about. It can be a summary of your work, your proposed work, a problem you are stuck on, basically anything related to the field of Environmental Reconstruction. You do not have to present, you can just come along. It would be great to get as many students along as possible, so please pass this on to interested undergrads and postgrads.
We will construct the day around some broad themes once we have an idea of who is coming and what you topics will be talked about. We will also have a few breakout sessions and plenty of time for people to interact with each other around common topics.
I will draft up a schedule once people have confirmed their attendance.
So that we can organise an appropriate venue, could you please register your interest and whether you will or won't present something via the following link by March 17 (its clunky, but makes life easier for me):

I will contact people interested in presenting once I have the list.
Morning and afternoon tea will be provided and there are plenty of local places for lunch to suit all budgets.
Please pass this on through your networks.
Many thanks,
Michael.
Cheers,
Michael.
