I'd suggest looking at the literature on European environments; this would have been done there (worst case scenario using nearby Israel spel records). Alex Francke might be able to point you in the right direction.
(I got a paper under review which just does that, but can't disclose details at this stage because it's in one of those big fancy journals haha)
Good luck in your search!
Cheers,
Tony

Hi Alex,
Simon Haberle (also CABAH) and I are planning on doing just that in PNG!
My background is in speleothem paleoclimatology (I've worked in Sulawesi, Indonesia and the US southwest).
I will be going with Simon to PNG early next year to scout out ideal cave sites.
Cheers,
Ali

Hi all,
I'm hoping for some light crowd-sourcing--if you're aware of a study comparing climate proxies in lake cores to those in nearby speleothems, please point me in its direction!
Thanks and happy holidays,
Alex
