Hi there,
Apologies if you receive this email more than once! We would appreciate if you forward this email to anybody else that may be interested.
We would like to encourage you to submit an abstract and contribute to our session at the Geoscience Society of New Zealand Annual Conference in Christchurch (22-25 November) titled:
“Geochemical tools and applications to reconstruct environmental and climate change, human impact and Earth history in New Zealand, Australia and Antarctica”.
This session is in association with Geochemistry Special Interest Group of the Geoscience Society of New Zealand and highlights innovative research of the New Zealand and overseas geochemistry community about environmental and climate change. It discusses technological developments and applications of new indicators on topics such as reconstructing productivity, nutrient cycling and water quality in aquatic environments, and metal tracers and non-traditional isotope systems to quantify processes on land and at sea. Selected topics discuss pollution and human impact or new research into global geochemical cycles across time that link the earth, ocean and atmosphere. Multiproxy reconstructions of life evolution and bioheritage, high-resolution paleorecords and dating of environmental archives are also presented.
Please find more information about the conference and other excellent sessions (including topics like high-temperature geochemistry covered as part of other sessions) here:

Please submit your abstract here:

We are aware that due to uncertainties with Covid and travel restrictions, the conference may be either in person or virtual or a mix, so will have to see at a later stage how this turns out. In any case, we would love to have your contribution!
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
Best wishes / Nga mihi
Sebastian
