Dear Colleagues,

We invite applicants for a 2-year postdoc based at the Geophysical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague.

These 1-2 y postdocs are aimed at newly graduated folks [<2 y since PhD conferral] and offer the opportunity to join a growing group of researchers working on glacial, fluvial and Quaternary problems. Our current interests include:

-the timing of the early Eurasian ice sheets

-pre-LGM glaciations in Yakutia

-geodynamic drivers of surface processes in central Oz

-development of granite domes in the eastern Sahara

-evolution of mountain plateaus in the Sichuan/Yunnan/Pamir regions

-hominins in the Arabian peninsula

-the Early Anthropocene in the Mediterranean world.

We will support applications on any of those topics listed, or anything else that sounds interesting. The date for applications is mid-September 2021 but I encourage you to contact me well before that date.
