About the opportunity



The University of Sydney is seeking applications for a Lecturer in Physical Geography to complement and enhance the school’s teaching and research in physical geography and environmental geosciences.



We welcome applications from people with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  *   Climate change
  *   Hazards
  *   Geomorphology
  *   Geographic Information Science/Remote sensing



The successful applicant will be expected to have teaching experience and/or capacity to teach into the School of Geosciences teaching program, servicing majors in Geography, Environmental Science and Marine Science.



Your key responsibilities will be to:



  *   contribute to knowledge within physical geography and environmental geosciences
  *   engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences (at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels) which meet the University’s expectations and standards for education
  *   design and deliver quality educational programs and experiences that support student needs and meet curriculum requirements
  *   influence outstanding teaching and learning outcomes
  *   contribute to research, education, and administrative activities
  *   develop an academic profile through conferences, seminars and outreach activities (e.g. school outreach and orientation activities)
  *   enhance a positive workplace culture and strategic direction of the University.
