The Australasian Research Cluster for Archaeological Science (ARCAS) invites you to the International Symposium on Archaeometry (ISA), which will be held in Melbourne (Australia) between the 27th to 31st May, 2024 and abstracts are due Dec 1st.

The ISA showcases the latest developments and inspiring applications in archaeological science techniques. We invite contributions on any range of materials, geographic areas, or time periods.

As multidisciplinary collaborations feature strongly at the ISA, this event will provide dedicated opportunities for practitioners in all sectors to establish trans-disciplinary research partnerships and collaborations.

This is the first time that the ISA will be hosted in Australia!

The call for abstracts is open until the 1st of December. We welcome submissions to any of the nine sessions covering different aspects of archaeological science. In the 2024 conference, there are multiple sessions that cover a wide range of topics<https://arcas.org.au/isa2024.melbourne/index.php/sessions/> including a special session on rock art and pigments.

Please use the online form to submit an abstract.<https://arcas.org.au/isa2024.melbourne/index.php/abstracts/> Registration, session information, preliminary program and travel information can be found in our website https://isa2024.melbourne.<https://isa2024.melbourne/> The ISA is an international platform for students to present their research results and accordingly we would like to encourage participation from domestic and international students.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the ISA in Melbourne!

This message has been forwarded on behalf of Agathe Lisé-Pronovost and Professor Rachel S Popelka-Filcoff, The University of Melbourne.

We acknowledge we are situated on Noongar land, and that Noongar people remain the spiritual and cultural custodians of their land, and continue to practice their values, languages, beliefs and knowledge. We pay our respects to the traditional owners of the lands on which we live and work across Western Australia and Australia.
