Dear AQUA members,

Here is the first circular for the AQUA 2024 conference on the beautiful Minjerrabah (North Stradbroke Island), Quandamooka country, Southeast Queensland in 24-28th June 2024. The conference will be held at Moreton Bay Research Station Moreton Bay Research Station - University of Queensland (uq.edu.au)<https://www.uq.edu.au/moreton-bay-research-station/> in Dunwich. The island is relatively easy to get to by Train and ferry, and MBRS is close to the ferry terminal. Accommodation at the station is in dorm rooms, but there are also camp site close by and other accommodation options.

We are seeking ideas together for workshops and conference sessions. Workshops can be held on the Monday before the conference starts - or post conference, either at MBRS or in Brisbane. Please submit your ideas to H.Bostock at uq.edu.au<mailto:H.Bostock at uq.edu.au> by the 30th November.

We are also looking for a logo for the AQUA conference. Please submit these by the 30th November and we will post them on Facebook for a vote of which one to use.

Other timelines:

  *   More information on costs and field trips will be sent out early 2024
  *   Abstracts will be due on the 20th February
  *   Student travel grants will also be due on the 20th February (the form for these will be posted on in early 2024 Australasian Quaternary Association (AQUA)<https://aqua.org.au/>)
  *   Registration by the 31st March
