Dear Aqualist colleagues, apologies for any cross-posting.

Following a successful first catch-up last week, we now invite you to the first of hopefully a regular seminar/discussion session on Quaternary climates and environmental change in the southern African region, with particular reference to the INQUA-funded WiSH project (Warm Intervals in the Southern Hemisphere). This will take place on the Zoom link below, next Thursday which is 8 August 2024, 1800 hr Pretoria time. Here, I will be presenting under the topic title "Identifying warm climate intervals during the Pleistocene and Holocene" in order to spark some critical debate on this topic.

Following the meeting last week, it was also identified that it would be useful to collate information on research facilities/equipment/instrumentation available across the region.
