Our 2025 awards and funding opportunities are now open
Each year, the Australian Academy of Science shines a light on researchers who have made outstanding contributions to science and to progressing the advancement of science in Australia by awarding prestigious honorific awards.
The awards recognise remarkable achievements in research fields including Earth sciences, biology, physics, mathematics, chemistry, global health and more.
Nominations are now open for the Academy’s 2025 honorific awards, and applications are also open for research conferences, research awards and travelling fellowships.
Diversity
As the Academy celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, we look forward to continuing to support and celebrate scientific excellence in Australia through our honorific awards and fellowships.
The Academy is committed to celebrating and supporting diversity<https://newsletter.science.org.au/t/i-l-ahrydlk-iltyiiov-y>. We are seeking nominations of outstanding scientists from all career stages, backgrounds and genders, and strongly encourage more nominations of women and other under-represented groups for all awards, in particular the career and mid-career honorific awards.
Closing dates
Honorific award nominations close 1 May 2024.
Research conference, research award and travelling fellowship applications close 1 June 2024.
