The Queensland Herbarium and Biodiversity Science business unit is seeking a Science Leader for our Ecological Sciences team. This is an amazing opportunity to step into strategic science leadership in Queensland government. We are looking for someone to set the direction and lead a team of scientists to deliver ecological products and services in condition, assessment and monitoring. You will be managing complex programs, people, and budgets to support decision making for government and landholders now and into the future.

This unique role requires high level leadership skills, as well as high level scientific knowledge in the field of ecological monitoring and assessment of ecosystems and species.  The successful candidate will need to step back from doing the science so they can guide, connect and communicate the important work of the team with internal and external stakeholders. As well as work collaboratively across the Queensland Herbarium and Biodiversity Science business unit to deliver on our shared purpose.
