Dear all,
We’re advertising a PhD scholarship for a domestic or international student to use organic biomarkers and isotopes to reconstruct Holocene fire regime and climate change on Kangaroo Island (Karta/Karti), South Australia.
Details of the project, and how to apply, can be found here:
https://www.earthworks-jobs.com/climate/adelaide25034
In short, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, independently minded student, ideally with experience in palaeo-environmental research. Prior knowledge/experience in geochemistry would be helpful, but is not essential: we understand that this is not a common component of many undergrad/Honours programmes.
Please forward to your networks and any students you think might be interested. They are of course welcome to contact me directly for more information. Students still working on Honours/Masters will be considered, and may be offered the scholarship subject to the outcome of their current degree.
Best wishes
Jon
