Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite abstract submissions for the session *“Dryland
landscape-climate dynamics from the Quaternary to the Anthropocene: novel
methods, models and applications”* at the XXII INQUA Congress in Lucknow,
India. (28 January – 3 February 2027)
This session focuses on cross-discplinary research that combines proxy
records, numerical climate models, and emerging analytical approaches to
explore dryland landscape–climate dynamics from the Quaternary to the
Anthropocene, thereby advancing our understanding of past sensitivity and
future responses to hydroclimatic change.
We welcome contributions addressing one or more of the following topics
within dryland systems, including:
• Quantitative multi-proxy reconstructions of dryland environments
• Proxy–model integration and data assimilation
• Novel proxies for sediment routing and landscape processes
• Quantitative palaeotemperature reconstructions
• Innovative use of remote sensing, machine learning, and artificial
intelligence
*Abstract submission deadline: 15 February 2026*
Further details about the session can be found here:
https://www.inquaindia2027.in/sessions/s-056
We warmly encourage colleagues working on dryland systems to submit
abstracts and contribute to what we hope will be a stimulating and
integrative session at INQUA 2027.
We look forward to your contributions!
