Call for Papers - Australasian Postgraduate Philosophy Conference (APPC)
2025

The Australasian Postgraduate Philosophy Conference (APPC) is an annual
conference that provides a great opportunity for postgraduate philosophy
students to present their work, debate their ideas, receive feedback from
peers, and find collaborators across institutions. This year, the APPC will
be run on the 11th and 12th of December, and we are delighted to announce
that it will be hosted by the University of Tasmania, in Hobart. The
conference will be held in person, with some limited space for hybrid talks.

We encourage and welcome submissions from both Australasian and
international postgraduate philosophy students (including honours) and
early career academics who have received their doctorate within the last
two years. Abstracts are being accepted from now until the 31st of August.
To submit an abstract, please visit
https://postgraduates.wixsite.com/2025/application-form.

Any interested persons are welcome to attend. More information for
interested attendees and speakers is available at
https://postgraduates.wixsite.com/2025.

Thanks to the generous support of the Australian Association of Philosophy,
we are able to offer financial assistance to some students for the purpose
of travelling to Hobart. You can indicate your interest in this when
submitting an abstract. (Please also bear in mind that most universities
allocate set amounts to their postgraduate students for the purposes of
facilitating essential travel to conferences just like this one; consider
asking your supervisors about this, as your first port of call.)

If you have any questions, please contact the Postgraduate Committee at
postgraduates at aap.org.au.
