Dear Friends and Colleagues,

East Timor Legal Information Services (ETLIS) was launched on 24 April 2006.

We hope that this site will augment existing sites on East Timor 
particularly those relating to the law of East Timor and provide 
useful additional legal information and services.

We have commenced a Directory of East Timorese lawyers and we are 
most interested to know of any other East Timorese lawyers whose 
identity and details are on the public record so please let us know 
of any of whom you are aware so that we can add to the Directory.

We are also keen to augment our translations resources so if you have 
skills in translating Tetum/Portuguese/English/Indonesian and would 
like to be part of our translators network, please contact us 
directly at wlw2005 at hotmail.com

ETLIS is still in the developmental stage and there are no doubt many 
deficiencies (for which we apologise in advance). Accordingly, all 
feedback on the site (particularly constructive criticism) is warmly welcomed.

The site has been constructed entirely with voluntary labour and 
volunteered equipment and resources. We have no funding for or income 
from this site.
