East Timor - Justice Denied

  Reporter: Eric Campbell

As a serious security crisis emerges in the world's newest nation,
Eric Campbell finds out why East Timorese are so divided.

Just a few years ago, they were celebrating their independence from
Indonesia, following a quarter of a century of brutal repression.
Between 80,000 and 185,000 East Timorese were killed during the
occupation, and many more were tortured and brutalised.

Former guerilla fighters now occupy positions of power in the
government, following a democratic election. However the dream is
starting to sour.
