[TimorLesteStudies] Invitation reminder - Friends of Balibo Launch

Dear Friends,

This is a reminder for tomorrow evening's FRIENDS OF BALIBO LAUNCH

Following the long-standing successes of other Australian-East Timor
friendship groups, the Friends of Balibo will be launched at the offices
of the Victorian Local Governance Association at 7pm on Wednesday 26
November 2008.

Because of the symbolic significance of Balibo to all Australians, the
Friends of Balibo will represent a 'community of interest', rather than
a community based on a Local Government area. To that end, all are
welcome to attend the inaugural meeting of the Friends of Balibo, to
become members, and to discuss and contribute to its agenda.

The Friends of Balibo project has the support of the Balibo House Trust,
including the families of the Balibo Five journalists.

Where: VLGA, 60 Leicester St, Carlton Vic 3053

When: 7 pm, Wednesday 26 November 2008

Host: Associate Professor Damien Kingsbury

Supper and refreshments will be provided
