We cordially invite you to attend our exhibition opening followed by an evening of music:

  Recovering Lives Across Borders
  By
  Culture Kitchen, Canberra, Australia
  Taring Padi, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Gembel and friends, Dili, Timor Leste

This is the first exhibition of an ongoing collaboration between Australians, Indonesians and Timorese which looks critically at their role as artists and the societies in which they live.
The series of collaboratively produced wood cut, screen print, and lino print works promotes deeper understanding of the challenges, similarities and differences of the three inter-linked nations. The themes of the works illustrate stories of state injustices, conflict, environmental and resource depletion, and the artist's hopes for the future.
