Dear colleagues,

Department of Southeast Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences,
University of Malaya is organizing the Third International Conference on
Southeast Asia (ICONSEA 2009) from the 8th  to 9th of December 2009, in the
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.

The theme of the Conference is "Developing Southeast Asia: Challenges and
Prospects in the New Millenium". Academicians, practitioners, researchers,
postgraduate students and administrators from the private and public sectors
are invited to participate and submit papers to be considered for
presentation. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

o       Regional Economy
o       Maritime Southeast Asia
o       Minorities in Southeast Asia
o       ASEAN and Regional Integration
o       Arts, Literature and Culture in Southeast Asia
o       Political  Development in Southeast Asia
o       Social Development in Southeast Asia
o       Economic Development in Southeast Asia
o       Government and Politics in Southeast Asia
o       Foreign Policy and International Relations
o       Any other issues related to the conference theme

Abstract submitted must not exceed 300 words and send to yulyadi at yahoo.com
