Job No. 492134 Job Title: Country Director, based in Timor Leste (maternity leave placement 12 months) Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to join our Timor Leste team as the Country Director. Based in our Dili office, the role reports to the Regional Director in Australia and is focused on driving a high growth program, and delivering effective reproductive health outcomes for the people of Timor Leste in partnership with the Ministry of Health. This role will appeal to someone who is patient, flexible and a great leader.
The key skills required for this role include: -----------------------------------------------------------
| 1. | | significant experience in a senior management role |
| 2. | | Strong communication skills, both written and verbal |
| 3. | | Tetum language skills (desirable) |
| 4. | | Experience working in the health sector in a developing country, preferable Timor Leste |
| 5. | | Strong strategic management and relationship building skills |
| 6. | | Flexible, patient and commitment to working in a low resource setting |
| 7. | | A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. business, public health, international development, advocacy) or equivalent |

| 1. | | Providing leadership to the MSITL team to develop, implement, and expand the national programme efficiently and effectively |
| 2. | | Developing and maintaining excellent external relations and resource development |

| 4. | | Ensuring effective financial management, accounting systems and internal controls are maintained |
| 5. | | Ensuring delivery of high quality, sustainable services |
