Just a few updates & reminders on the 2019 conference in Dili:

Conference Program

The organising committee is pleased to announce that we have received more than 180 abstracts, making this the largest conference in TLSA history. Confirmations of acceptance will be sent over the next week, and we expect to distribute the first draft of the program in early May.

Alongside the regular support of the Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa’e (UNTL), Swinburne University of Technology and the University of Lisbon, the TLSA gratefully acknowledges the generous support of the Centro Nacional Chega! for our 2019 conference, and the special panel on 1999: 20 Years On.


Registration

Please find the 2019 registration forms attached. These  forms will also be available soon on the website http://www.tlstudies.org/Conference.html

Internationals: All international delegates should submit their completed registration forms by Friday 7 June. Internationals may either pre-pay using the credit card section of the registration form, or pay at the registration desk in Dili on 27 June. (Write “pay in Dili” at the payment section of the registration form if that is your intention.) Please email the form to: tlsa2019 at tlstudies.org<mailto:tlsa2019 at tlstudies.org>

East Timorese nationals: Please register at the registration desk on 27 June. You can confirm your attendance before the conference by emailing your name and affiliation to: Dulce Martins da Silva, UNTL, Email: dasilvamartinsdulce at gmail.com<mailto:dasilvamartinsdulce at gmail.com>

General information on panel sessions

  *   Each panel session will be 90 minutes in total:
  *   Each presenter will have 20 minutes in a three-speaker panel; or 15 minutes in a four-speaker panel (60 minutes)
  *   There will question and discussion time after that (30 mins)
  *   PowerPoint facilities will be available at the conference
