[Ed note: TLSA monthly mailouts have previously stuck to a conventional academic definition of ‘original research’; which typically excludes book reviews (but often includes ‘review essays’ reviewing more than one book). Given the interest these reviews are generating, however, we will now include published book reviews in future monthly mailouts.]

Dear Michael,
Happy New Year! I hope you are doing well and you and your family have not been affected by the fires. I have recently moved from Canberra to Bangkok for a new job with the UN, but my thoughts are very much with our family and friends in Australia.
Please find attached below a recently published book review in a US-based Genocide Studies journal. I thought you may be interested in it since the book under review includes the work of key Australian scholars and it contributes to scholarship on narrative and memory. Please feel free to share the review and citation.
Thanks for all that you do to nurture the East Timor studies academic community. You are making such a contribution!
Warmest,
Leigh-Ashley
