Roundtable Discussion: Canada and the Challenge of Genocide in Asia
Bill Graham Centre for Contemporary International History
To mark the publication of Professor David Webster's newest book, Challenge the Strong Wind: Canada and East Timor 1975-99, we will host a roundtable discussion on Canada's response to genocide in Asia over the last half century. The event will open with three short presentations: Webster on genocide in East Timor; Laura Madokoro on Canada's response to the Cambodian genocide in the 1970s; and the Hon. Bob Rae on the current Rohingya crisis in Myanmar. Professor Rosemary McCarney of Trinity College will chair this roundtable.
