TIMOR LESTE STUDIES ASSOCIATION MAILING LIST<br><br>
Dear Colleagas<br><br>
In appreciation and celebration of food innovations happening in
Timor-Leste including the Grassroots Food Network (<i>Rede ba hahan</i>)
we are proposing to hold an event in Melbourne. We want to discuss new
ideas and research about food justice and food sovereignty in Timor-Leste
as well as new approaches to tackling malnutrition and the network of new
co-operatives, enterprises, entrepreneurs, and their innovations and if
there is anything we here in Australia can offer.<br>

We are planning to have speakers and hands-on food workshops to prepare
and then eat and drink:<br><br>
·      Katupa<br><br>
·      Cassava leaves<br><br>
·      Budu<br><br>
·      Timorese Coffee<br><br>
If you are interested in contributing indigenous Timorese food to this
event or participating or volunteering please let us know.<br><br>
We also hope to include Timorese musicians and cultural groups so please
let us know if you would like to come and participate.<br><br>
