Assistant Professor--Early Modern Science or Technology(Johns Hopkins
University)

The Department of History of Science and Technology at the Johns Hopkins
University invites applications for a tenure-track position as
Assistant Professor starting 1 July 2008. Duties involve full
participation in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the
university, including supervision of doctoral students. The Department
is committed to developing further strength in early modern science and
technology. Area of specialization is open within the history of
science and technology from the High Middle Ages to the Enlightenment.
Ph.D. should be completed by June 2008. Applications should include a
c.v., description of current and future research plans, and description
of teaching experience or proposals for courses. Include three
references along with contact information (including email addresses);
letters of recommendation should not be solicited by applicants. Review
of applications will begin December 1, 2007, but applications will be
accepted until January 15, 2008.
