IMPORTANT NOTICE TO AAHPSSS PRESENTERS

Are you a postgraduate student presenting a paper at AAHPSSS?

Ian Langham Memorial Prize

The Ian Langham Memorial Prize is awarded to eligible postgraduate students presenting a paper at the AAHPSSS conference.

Eligibility for the award

   * You must be an enrolled postgraduate student.
   * You must have submitted an offer of a paper and abstract by the due date and have that paper accepted for presentation at the AAHPSSS conference.
   * You must be able to provide, on request, the written support of your supervisor.

Other criteria for selection of eligible papers include whether they engage scholarly dialogues in the HPS/STS literature, whether they evidence knowledge and appropriate use of HPS/STS methodologies.

Each eligible student paper presentation will be attended at the conference by at least two members of the AAHPSSS executive and/or conference organising committee.  The prize will be decided  at a meeting of the AAHPSSS executive and conference organising committee prior to the close of the AAHPSSS conference.  The recipient of the Ian Langham prize will be notified by email and an announcement of the award will be posted on the AAHPSSS website.
