Please be advised that Anastasia’s IMC talk on "Mobilizing in Uncertainty" must again be postponed due to a three-day general strike in UK universities over pay and conditions. Sorry for the late notification. After Anastasia drew my attention to the commencement of the strike today we agreed that she should observe the action by not presenting to us as announced.

As a National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) member and workplace representative I express solidarity with University and College Union (UCU) comrades in the UK. I take this opportunity to add that if you are employed at the ANU or another university in Australia and not yet an NTEU member I urge you to join; your pay and workplace conditions depend on it. If you’ve questions you can ask me or contact your local rep or branch office. For those of you at the ANU, we are ourselves in a bargaining round for the next agreement on pay and conditions with University management. Details are here: https://www.anubargaining.au.

We will reschedule Anastasia’s talk for the beginning of the series in 2023 to get off to an exciting start!
