Dear IMC listserv

For those of you in Melbourne this week for the Australian Political Studies Association conference, here’s a quick summary of what’s going on organised by the Interpretive Methods Research Group (IMRG) :

1. The Group has a stream with five panels as follows, all of them in building 149 (the main conference venue)

Tuesday 1100 Political action and space making - room 205
Wednesday 1330 Citizenship and international organisations - room 156
Wednesday 1530 Interviewing and methodology - room 156
Thursday 1330 The global and the local - room 156
Thursday 1530 Narrative analysis - room 156

2. Our Group annual meeting is in the lunchtime Thursday (1230-1330) in room 156 again. At this stage we are still setting up, and are keen to hear ideas about possible activities and opportunities for collaboration and funding. Please come along if you can to be part of that discussion.

3. To end the conference we’ll be having informal drinks at the Clyde (https://maps.app.goo.gl/xcVkYPr87bnThp1V7) at 6pm on the Thursday, so for those of you who are not rushing to a flight or have other commitments we hope you can take the time to wind down with us among affable company.

There’s also an HDR workshop taking place in parallel with the conference and for those of you involved in that, we’ll see you in class.

If you are not at APSA this year, rest assured there will be more activities afoot and we hope to meet you on another occasion.

Best wishes
Nick, on behalf of the IMRG convenors
